Sailmaker de Wit started in 1971 as an one-man business. The fabrication of sails for (competition)sailboats, motorboathoods and cabriolethoods was the main goal.
After nearly 10 years the clientele changed, so the watersport clients were no longer the main branch. The switch was made to the industrial work. Due to this decision our company started to grow fast.
Oilbooms and hose floaters
Shortly after the start of the company, oilbooms were added to the product portfolio. From oilbooms it was a small step to producing the Flootzer hose floater. Currently, the company has over 45 years of experience in making oilbooms and the Flootzer hose floater.
